Sos Bishop - Peace To The Hardcore

Sos is from New York City, Where He grew up in the Bronx. At a young age he listened to all kinds of different music.

His pops played in a band called Exit-9 so when he was younger he used to go in the studio with them.
Along with his cousins rapping, DJ’ing and dancing helped Sos realize that music is what he  wanted to do so he started perfecting his craft. He loved Kane, Rakim, Krs, Slick Rick, Brand Nubian, Epmd, Tribe, Nas, Jay-z, Biggie, and Black Moon.

That's was the birth of Sos Bishop. When he was younger he moved around so he has a little bit of everywhere and a little bit of everything in him. His moms had him in South Carolina for a while, then Delaware, so he knows how life is out the city. In a way this benefited his craft. The city feels his music as well as the people from his block because no matter where he was he never lost his NY style.

The streets came in and people started rapping about what they were doing so his team was living like rappers; ice, money, females, and cars. So when you hear him talk about things lot of things he did or saw first hand. He mixed a time when you had to have style with the real shit and that's the Sos Bishop that stands before you now!

The Midwest native drew musical inspirations from the Golden Era of Hip Hop to Alternative Rock, and everything else in between that he resonated with.

Music was also Brando’s first love but it wasn’t until 2013 that he took initiative to advance his own career in music, and he solidified this by taking his talents to New York City.
Making a home for himself in Queens, NY, Brando built his career from the ground up with his AR Ent.. team.

Fast forward a few years later, Brando is now actively working with Grammy nominated, multi-platinum producer, Tarboy Williams. Currently, the two are in the midst of finishing Brando’s new album, set for a Summer release.

After taking a brief hiatus, Brando and his AR Entertainment team have officially released the Matthew Scott directed visual for “ArtiFacts.”

VIDEO: OneMike - I Like It Remix Ft YunG'n L.I.t, YunG StaxXx, and Joe Stallion

While Cardi B celebrated her Grammy win OneMike and members of his T.E.S.T. Squad (YunG'n L.I.t, YunG StaxXx, and Joe Stallion) were busy premiering the video to their remix of Cardi's smash 'I Like It'.

The shots fired in the opening scene were for real when some local hoods tried to disrupt the video shoot by letting off during a scene. T.E.S.T. Squad are made from firmer stuff than that though and carried on filming regardless.

Blog Posts 101 - A Guide

Cuban Pete here. I post on several music blogs and people send me things to post.
Some people are managers and some are the artists themselves but a lot of them don't realize what information is needed for someone like me to do a good blog post that's also beneficial for them. So here are 5 things that should really be basics.

1 EPK
An Electronic Press Kit is something every serious artist should have and should include photos, links, a bio, and contact info.

2 Product Info
If you've gone to the trouble of getting promo in the form of a post its presumably because you've got a product to sell such as a single, album, video, merch, etc.
In that case you need to supply links to that product.
If its music then something like a Soundcloud, Bandcamp, or YouTube link where you can get embed codes and people can stream or watch directly from the blog post.
Some information about the product itself (features, how it came about, etc) is also a good idea and can be added to info about the artist that's been pulled from their bio.
Really you should have all this info in the email you have sent out to your contact list.

3 Pictures
Good quality, as professional looking as possible, photos of the artist.
Album/single artwork.
Photos of merch.

4 Links
Now they know all about you and like what they've heard or seen hopefully they'll want to keep up with your other projects, or even interact with you. In which case you need to supply social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and/or links to you or your labels website..

5 Share Share Share
There is no point, especially if you've paid, in getting promotion if nobody sees it. Share the links on your social media. If its a really good review for example add it to your press page on your website. If you can help bring more visitors to the site then you are more likely to get on it again in the future.

And that's pretty much it!

I'm sure there'll be some things Ive forgotten to mention, or even things you might just like to see more of yourself, so feel free to comment on the post.
